선명한 노란색. 흰 복숭아, 레몬, 파인애플 등 다양한 열대 과일 풍미, 부드러운 버터향, 풍부한 미네랄 풍미가 조화를 이룬다. 입안에서 느껴지는 섬세하고 복합적인 풍미와 매끈한 질감, 적절한 산도와 미네랄리티, 파워풀함과 우아함이 긴 피니쉬로 연결된다.

미국의 5대 화이트 와인 중 하나로 불리기도 하는 Kongsgaard는 John Kongsgaar가 본인의 이름을 따서 1996년 설립한 후 짧은 시간에 나파 밸리에서 최고의 화이트 와인(샤도네이) 생산자로 꼽히게 되었다.

Kongsgaard는 "‘death and resurrection(죽음과 부활)"이라고 불리는 독특한 양조방식을 가지고 있다. 수확한 포도를 이산화황(SO2)의 사용을 최대한 줄여 1년 가량 자연 효모로 발효 과정을 거치는데 중간에 와인이 산소와 과접촉하여 색이 갈변하고 탁해지다가, 2년 간의 숙성 과정을 거치면서 다시 황금빛으로 돌아오며 풍부한 맛을 갖게 되는데 가지게 된다.
